Pictorial and Tattoo art have always existed alongside each other. However, to this day this has only been noted by the artists themselves. The “Amalgamarte” project was born exactly from these premises, which is in effect to free the tattoo artist from being considered only a craftsman relegated to transcribing a design and to lettering. It cannot be denied or avoided that, at the basis of tattoo art is the ability to use a brush and make a canvas become unique. It is exactly this that has motivated a group of friends to immortalize on an imaginary backdrop all of their own being. An essence that has had to do without a little portion of the human instinct: envy. To draw with a colleague is like competing in a sport discipline. If there is the drive to overpower the other then the road is not the correct one. Amalgamarte, therefore is the tangible demonstration that unification is never a mistake. The paintings have been painted during three sessions over 240 hours. A non-coercive seclusion that started a mechanism, symbiotic painting, that could be the very driving force or engine of the “new millennium”. A very simple thing, without confines or borders, the freedom to be ourselves, to be better.
